Some Pouches and Bags...
It's been a while since I've written about some finishes lately. So, I thought that today would be a good day to do so. :)
Here are some pouches and bags that I've finished in the last three weeks:
All of which are for sale at my shop. Now, to go and finish a couple of quilts. I hope that you all enjoy this week. I'm sure going to try!
My First Week of the 31 Days to Clean Reboot
Well, I thought I'd share how last week, the first week of this challenge, went in my home. Now, I am admitting to totally giving in to the distractions. I allowed social networking, my kids, life, not feeling well, all of it, distract me from what I know I needed to do. I also realized that my heart wasn't in it. I didn't want to do it! I threw a silent rebellion. No one saw me stomp on the floor or cross my arms, but God saw it inside of me. He saw my tantrum, and was saddened. He told me through two different teenagers (young men, really) in our church's Teen Takeover that I needed to give God my story, to let Him be the main character, to trust Him as the author. Also, to change my perspective from seriously God! (as in how could You do that to me) to seriously God? (as in why would You do that for me). So, I thank you Josh and Cody for being God's mouthpieces yesterday.
Today, is Day 6 of the Reboot. Today, she has us giving our why. This is what I posted in her comments section as she asked us to:
"My "why" isn't as easy to put down in words. I know it should be to bring honor to God by being a good steward of what He's given me. Right now, though, I'm in a personal funk. As a mother to six kids, I feel like when I try to clean that it is unfruitful as I have tazmanian devils behind me undoing it all. He is still working on changing my heart's perspective. He's still leading me away from my distractions, I failed in that last week! I'll be looking to actually complete my room this week. I know that my kids function better in an orderly, functional home and not one of chaos. So, I think my why is to not only bring God glory but to also provide my family a place of rest. A place they feel free to be themselves, to be able to enjoy their home and not just reside."
She also told us to survey our other bedrooms and tackle them. Seeing as how I didn't tackle mine last week, I'll start with mine and try and get to the others this week.
So, if you've been following Sarah Mae, how was your first week?
