Quilter's Blog Hop Party! We have a winner!

Blog Hop Party

It's that time again!  Starting today, and running until the 15th, bloggers all over the world will be participating in the Quilting Blogger's 5th birthday!  For my part in the giveaway, I'll be giving away two charm packs of Joy by Kate Spain.

To enter all you need to do is answer a question!  The other options aren't necessary to win, they just increase your chances.  :) Oh, and I'll be shipping internationally if the winner happens to live across the sea or border. a Rafflecopter giveaway I'll pick a winner Sunday morning and post on Monday.  *My Sunday will be otherwise spent celebrating my daughter's 7th birthday with family and attending our church's Cantata as four of my family is a part of the cast*

We started a new one this year with out own Elf on the Shelf, Twinkle. The kids are loving finding him each morning and hubby is loving finding new places to put him each night.

The Jesse Tree is my favorite tradition! Photos of the ornaments I make for the Jesse Tree can be seen in my Etsy shop (Pink Scissors Design).

The tradition of a Jesse Tree is hanging an ornament each day and reading the scripture that goes with it. On Christmas Day you hang the last ornament and celebrate!

Huge family dinner at my moms hous eon Christmas day. Everyone attends kids grandkids aunts uncles nieces nephews great grands and grand parents We have done it everyyears sinbce I was a child and now 40 some years later we still do this every year.

We do a family story each night from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. The kids get in jams and pick one Christmas book out of our stack of 30 and we all snuggle under quilts and enjoy a good read aloud before bed.

My favorite Christmas tradition is getting together with childhood friends on Christmas Eve. We don't exchange gifts, but we do have lunch together and do a lot of laughing and talking. It varies year to year as to who can attend, but most of the core group of 9 of us are able to get together, plus whatever children and husbands can stand being around all of us! :)
